Oh what a beautiful morning! Oh what a beautiful club!

18 September 2013

Good morning my little beauties. What a lovely day it is, and what a ruddy good night last night! Amazing game last night at the Shay, where Grimsby beat Halifax 3-0 in an absolute thriller. 'Twas a lovely balmy Tuesday September night in Yorkshire that saw Liam Hearn bag a hat-trick too. Town started in the unusual formation of 4-4-2, which seemed to work really well for the whole 90 minutes. I could get all arrogant and talk about how good we were at playing proper football on the ground, finding the right passes and so on. But don't forget that Halifax are part-time footballers. I don't want to look like a dick.

Bearded sexpot Ritchie Jones got international clearance yesterday afternoon so was eligible to play, and had a blinder. Shorty was dressed in a pristine tracksuit in the away dugout with a lively-looking bench to accompany the stealthy-looking starting XI. Last night's result takes us up to fifth in the league too, which isn't bad for mid-September. Again, I could talk for ages about how good last night's performance was. You can read all about it in detail, courtesy of the local paper. And your lone manager has spoken about the confident victory on Humberside FM. Have a listen. It's good to hear him sound so excited finally.

Also, it's great that the club has issued a statement about the situation with Rob Scott. What a relief!

Have a great day everyone. Up the Mariners! I can almost smell the Football League. Woop!!!
