Tips for 8-9 November - the result
So last week Mat closed the gap on Coco by a few pounds and is gradually getting closer and closer to reeling the chimp in. Would this be the week? Let's look at the bets placed and find out.

Mat had another good week. He got seven out of the ten matches correct, and the
70 per cent strike-rate represents his best effort since 7 September. Watford's
lare equaliser at Forest is a bit galling for him, but it's tempered by Capucho's
even later winner for Rangers. Swings and roundabouts, I guess. All three matches
Mat got wrong ended in draws. It's a narrow line between success and failure.
Mat got three matches correct in his first perm, earning him £1.02, while
the four matches correct in the second perm earned him £3.91. That's £4.93
in total, only 7p down on the week. That's Mat's highest return since 21 September.
Still short of a profit though eh, Mat?
In Coco's worst showing for four weeks he managed to score only three matches correct
for a 30 per cent strike-rate. There weren't even any late goals he can moan and
complain about either. Four out of the seven matches he predicted incorrectly
were draws though, so he's claiming some solace in that. Coco got two matches
in his first perm and one in his second so is back to a return of zero after three
consecutive weeks of non-zero return.
Mat wins again then. A big week for him too: Coco's lead slips to under a tenner
for the first time this season. There's still ages to go, of course, but it's
looking more likely that Mat will beat Coco than finish with a profit. But, of
course, it can all turn around in one week. Someone needs to make a profit though.
The chart below has a decidedly downwards direction.

Overall, Mat is £14.10 down, with a 59 per cent strike-rate, while Coco is £6.59
down with a 37 per cent strike-rate. The chimp leads by £7.51 now but all the
cool boys are betting on a new leader in two weeks' time.
