Following on from Cod Almighty's shocking and startingly surprising storming of WSC's Festive Twenty of footie sites, a leaf through the new edition of WSC (issue 217 to be precise, fact fans) throws up yet another mention for this Town site. This time the praise is aimed squarely at the legendary Mr Tony Butcher – as you can see to your left. Don't read this scan too much, mind. Nip to your newso and have a quick read of their copy; maybe venture as far as buying the edition in question. In summary, Ian Plenderleith reckons there needs to be more Tony Butchers writing match reports. Tony has distinctively covered Town's highs and lows over the past six seasons, streets away from the diluted and hackneyed press-like style adopted by many fanzine writers these days. Nice one Tony! Predictably this praise comes while Tony's enjoying a midseason break from trips to Cheltenham and Bristol. But, fear not – he's due back to report on this weekend's game against Shrewsbury. In the meantime, you can browse everything Tony has written that has appeared Cod Almighty by clicking here.
