Mariners Trust
The Mariners Trust, as the name suggests, is the supporters' trust attached to Grimsby Town Football Club.
Established in 2003 under the name Grimsby Town Supporters Trust, the organisation was relaunched in 2011 and currently holds a substantial proportion of shares in the club. The trust has taken over and revitalised the bars at Blundell Park and organised a number of excellent social events such as a Q&A evening with Sir Alan Buckley.
Sure, we all wish the trust could do more, but the board are busy people like you and us, giving their time for free. And as far as supporter representation goes, it's the only show in town.
A number of the Cod Almighty team are members and we urge all our fellow Town fans to join up. We hope one day the trust will be strong enough to ensure that our club is run sustainably and well, so that supporters are freed from the abject situation of begging gifts from rich men, like dogs slobbering for scraps under the table.
