The winner of a pair of tickets to a Town game...

Congratulations are in order for one of Cod Almighty's ever growing readership. To recap, a month ago we set three questions. We thought the questions weren't that hard – you'd have to do a little digging, but we thought that you wouldn't mind. We were, after all, giving away a prize that was worth about 30 quid. We received a bit of stick about one of the questions. I dunno – it just seems everyone wants everything handed to them on a plate these days!

But anyway, before the winner is revealed, here are the answers:

Question 1
Our first history quiz – among other sources – would have told you that Grimsby Town Football Club was originally known as Grimsby Pelham.

Question 2
A quick look at this season's fixtures tells us that on 3 January 2004, Town are due to play Wycombe Wanderers, both clubs' non-participation in the FA Cup permitting.

Question 3
The question that seemed to annoy a few of you: how large, in square yards, is the Blundell Park pitch? The playing area measures 111 yards by 75 yards, so multiply those together and you get... 8325 square yards.

So, yet again, we've put all the winners into a folder in Outlook, and by blindly pointing at the screen the name under the Finger Of Choice is... Dale Walmsley. So, congratulations to Dale! We'll be in touch soon, and thank you to all those who took time to enter the competition.
