#14: Mirror, mirror...
26 August 2003
"I thought this was quite funny when I first saw it. Now, I'm not so sure."
was Ed Fleet's message accompanying this black and white of Tony Ford in
black and white. Certainly, a gurn purist might take issue with the quality
of the facial antics, which at best are a half-hearted attempt to replicate
Bruce Forsyth on a lacklustre Generation Game episode. However, Ed's
submission is saved by Tony's wonderful stance - a clever tribute to the
dance steps in Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video several years before it
was even released. Must be the Rod Temperton connection. Try Fordy's
face/body
combination yourself in front of a mirror, and i guarantee that you - and
all the other people in River Island - will find it a scream.

Do you have any pictures of players gurning? Have a flick through your piles of old programmes, scan 'em in and email them to us at codalmightygurns@yahoo.co.uk.
