Like Wes Parker's entry above, this is how the BBC Humber site would like the public to think of David 'Digger' Soames. I'm not sure he'd be very happy with that though, as they haven't really captured his best work. I've seen a few reserve fixtures in which The Excavator has managed some superlative screwy scowls, and I'm assured that in training he has frequently managed the coveted Hurricane-force Popeye/Ron Atkinson combo, much to the amazement of fellow players and the coaches.
However, all we see here is Gurning 101 stuff. A pitiful non-league combination of Asleep For Beginners; I'm Unconscious But I'll Be Ok; and Ooh Yeah Baby Don't Stop. It's the sort of gurn you can do with your eyes closed. Well, ok, i realise he actually has got his eyes closed, but you know what I mean. A poor reflection of what I believe to be a greater talent. Digsy, if you're reading, manifest a great big spazzy one and send us in the evidence. We all know you can do it.
