Hello friends (and a quick wave to DataCo if they're out there – hiya!). Well, so unexpected is this
postbag that you've all just forgotten to write me some letters. Although the African woman who wanted
help with a court case in return for 20% of the money she makes – I've emailed you directly love. Don't
want any of these freeloaders getting in on that deal. I'll be RICH!

Remember people, DataCo are nothing but spongers with no real intrinsic value. They are a cancer
on society.
I read with interest the letter from DataCo in your last postbag. I would like to
know when DataCo intend to re-imburse GTFC for the loss of earnings due to falling attendances at
Blundell Park. How are the general public expected to know when the next game is and who the
opponents are? I believe that many 'stayaway' fans do so because they have no idea if GTFC are
playing or not. Secondly if DataCo are allowed to charge people to publish the fixture lists then surely
GTFC are allowed to charge DataCo for using GTFC fixtures to make money. DataCo should be shown
that rampant profiteering using what should be freely available information can work both ways.
We should sue those lottery bastards too. Ever since they came on the scene people have stopped
doing the football pools (and Mariners Lottery or whatever it was called). The Pools was always a
good way to find out what the fixtures were and coupons were available for free. No wonder those
little posters disappeared from the buses, DataCo probably wanted to charge the bus companies for
telling everyone what the next game was. It's a classic case of biting the hand that feeds you. When
all the smaller clubs have gone there'll be fewer fixtures to charge for. Ha that'll show the thick money
grabbing twats.

I've yet to hear back from them funnily enough, but I'm sure they're just preparing one of their legal
guff letters to send out. I've been thinking about this for sometime, and I don't actually believe they've
got much of a case really. What do others think? Any legal bods out there? [Letters Ed]
Wanted: ideas
Grimsby Town FC may be about to get a boost from it's supporters in the
near future!
With unrest about the future of The Mariners discussions far and wide have been taking place
between supporters of what the club needs to do in order to survive into the far future.
Discussions on the various message boards have resulted in Dave Otter contacting Mr Fenty with the
aim to arrange a Supporters Forum with the aim of increasing revenue for the club and generating
new ideas on how to help the club succeed in recruiting floating supporters within the South Bank of
the Humber.
Dave Otter has donated much of his time running Grimsby Town Supporters Trust along with other
members in helping to increase Towns revenue by encouraging supporters to buy shares. Despite the
efforts this has come to a stand still, but now with Daves and the help of Grimsby fans another push
is going to be made so the security of GTFC is of a permanent nature.
The Club and the GTST needs the fans to get behind the club, big cash contributions are not the be all
and end all, don't be afraid to give Dave Otter or the club your ideas because maybe a few could help
Town in a bigger way than you could imagine!
Another way to help the club is to bring your friends to the home games and be prepared to sing and
make Blundell Park a fortress it once used to be! We have all seen what a difference it makes when
the team get good vocal backing!
This is our club, we support the Mariners because of the love we have for the team, it is our pride and
passion, lets not risk losing it, I don't want to spend my future weekends shopping and decorating do
you?

Spirited meff
Just one amendment to an entry in your otherwise excellent dictionary of
local vernacular:
Meff – also (in my day anyway) used to refer to an unattractive female in either an intoxicated state or
of known dipsomaniacal tendency. The word being a grimsby-led contraction of 'methylated
spirits'.
