Diary - Saturday 14 December 2002

14 December 2002

Another weekend, another few defensive permutations fail miserably as a not even half-arsed Town hand Preston the easiest three points in their history. You know things don't look good when Alan Pouton starts on the left wing, and sure enough North End could have racked up a cricket score rather than their eventual 3-0 if they'd really wanted to. Shame they had to disgrace themselves with a filthy cheat penalty for their first. The Diary finds solace in the excellent 'butter pie' served up by Deepdale's caterers and a nice vindaloo in Rusholme later in the evening, but all in all it's another thoroughly depressing day to be a Town fan.
