As I track the various transfer rumours and announcements from the club about players signing, my first thoughts aren't "oh please let it be so and so" or "maybe it's that lad the Telewag has been writing about for the last seven weeks", but "please let us sign him on a Tuesday at roughly 4pm when Tuesday's diary would already have been written, giving me something to write about the next day".

Alas, Jack The Mack signed t' other day and according to various saucy minxes, we're signing someone else tomorrow. Balls. Alas, your London Diary will have to fill today's diary with nonsense, including using the word 'alas'.

I got dumped by a girl when I was 14 years old. I was in love with her. Genuine love, like the stuff you saw in movies (not Sliding Doors though). She then decided to go out with me which was the best feeling in the world. This was 1997, so all round it was a brilliant year. That was, however, until she dumped me roughly four days later. Everyone knew I loved her. I told anyone and everyone who would listen. She then decided to go out with a lad in the year above me at school,  and it made the following few years very, very awkward. Anyway, in unrelated news, good luck to Liam Hearn on his recent move (ish) to Football League side Mansfield. I genuinely wish you all the best and I still don't think about those goals against Alfreton AT ALL. Whatevs.

Very sad news broke yesterday that Hereford have been expelled from the Football Conference. The club had seemingly missed various deadlines to pay creditors and the decision was made to remove them from the league. A dark day for any football club. Our thoughts go out to all at Hereford. Hope to see you back up here soon.
