Just a quick round-up today from your original/regular Diary, who has just been to the pub with Mardy Diary and is currently operating on a timescale around 41 hours behind BST.

I thought it was the Lincolnshire Senior Cup, but there you go. The game kicks off at Sincil Bank at 7pm and will cost a refreshingly realistic six pounds to get in.

"GRIMSBY Town's dream of repeating last season's Lincolnshire Senior Cup success is very much alive," gushes today's Grimsby Telegraph, presumably as a prelude to tomorrow's special edition reporting the sale of the first 24,000 tickets and carrying interviews with Liam Hearn about how gutted he is to miss out, what with having spent his boyhood in Nottinghamshire dreaming about playing in final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup.
