Voicing the concerns of fans at the highest level

Irregular Diary writes: Afternoon all.
I'm sort of glad the "hand of cod" from Wes Thomas wasn't the match-winning goal. We've been on the end of some poor decisions over the years – some may say it cost a promotion against Bristol Rovers - and although I’ve said we are too honest, cheating is a step too far. Michael Jolley suggests Thomas was trying to adjust his body and we’ll have to believe him, I lost no sleep over it being against Tranmere Rovers.
The club have received another 224 tickets for Sunday's FA Cup game, taking our allocation to just short of 1,800. Here's hoping for an enjoyable day for the travelling army and one which doesn't end with Derbyshire Police tweeting out information that, both we as fans and the Derbyshire Times, misunderstand. A Chief Superintendent later clarified how we misunderstood something that we were told had happened but didn’t. We've yet to hear from anybody on what we should expect as travelling fans, but the least I expect this time is some accuracy and for fans to give no reason for this error to have occurred in the first place.
After members voted to merge the Football Supporters Federation (FSF) and Supporters Direct in the summer, an EGM was held last week to complete the move. Both organisations will continue their superb work under pre-existing brands with United Football Supporters Organisation (UFSO) as an umbrella name.
The FSF have done some great work which Mariners fans directly or indirectly benefit from. I hope Supporters Direct are still grafting away with the Mariners Trust on a number of new things that will see the light of day soon. The link doesn’t end there though as former club SLO Kristine Green was elected as an individual representative. We’ve no doubt that means the views and concerns of fans will continued to be voiced at the highest level.
We’ll end on the voice for radio, or is it a face for radio? The Mariners Trust have created a crowdfunder to ensure match day commentary can continue for those that find themselves in the hospital. You can find out more here.
Here’s hoping our interest in the FA Cup means we're eagerly tuned in Monday evening for the third round draw.
