Diary - Saturday 30 November 2002

30 November 2002

A promising position slips from Town's hands as Muzzy Izzet's late wonder goal wraps up all three points for ten-man Leicester at Blundell Park this afternoon. James Scowcroft scores early for the visitors, but the pendulum swings Town's way after the interval as Frank Sinclair is sent off on 50 minutes and John Oster equalises just afterwards. Izzet's strike, though, makes the final score 2-1 to the midlanders in a game watched by 7,310. Town remain fourth from bottom, with Brighton, Bradford and the Wendys losing and Stoke scraping a draw at Gillingham.

The Diary went all swoonsome at half time today and will have the chance to fall for Big Georges's Gallic charm all over again. The ankle-biting wonder was brought out at Blundell Park this afternoon with news that he's signed a contract with the club until the end of the season. Go get 'em Le Tigre!
