Hopes of a great money-spinning FA Cup draw for Town against some Premiership giant are dashed as the Grimsby ball is followed out of that big round perspex bubble thing by Burnley's. Given the Mariners' excellent home record against the Clarets, though, the draw must be seen as a half-decent chance to progress to the fourth round; and with Town's extraordinary 6-5 win over the Turf Moor outfit recently still etched into the Diary's memory like a weird dream, one hopes that entertainment at the very least will be high on the agenda. The match is to be played on Saturday 4 January.
