The Diary

I had a dream about a black cat dying last night. LOL

Big up to the Wednesday crew, it's your London Diary here on a bit of a deadline so let's smash through this. So last night a Grimsby Town XI beat a Sunderland XI 2 goals to nuffink, which makes us PREMIER LEAGUE BEATERS! That's a fact. So we have nothing to worry about for playing minnows like Forest Green and Mansfield. Pah, what losers. We're gonna bosh this like the bad boys we are.

OK, OK, OK, so it may have been a watered-down Sunderland team that our strongest boys fought against, but it's a win nonetheless. Danny Graham the man that once was, or was he, was probably the most recognisable of the Black Cats but not the player he once was, remember that? Nah, nor do I. Our kid texted me after the game saying: "Well that was a good advert for not having League 3". Quite right. I want a fully fit Lincoln City to beat, not some kids and DG from the Tyne.

Nice to see some of our younger lads get a start last night, with impressive performances from Walker and Winfarrah which should throw them in the mix for the start of the season and also Humble when he came on in the second half. Keep it up, lads – you could be the next Digger Soames.

My glass is still half full. We've got a nicely shaped squad with Hurststssts clearly still trying out formations and positions, but that's why we have friendlies. He wants one more striker, and hopefully he'll get his man. I hope his man is Alan Connell. Start Alan up front against Brigg, smash in six in one game, and then we can go on to WIN THE LEAGUE! Remember guys, we're Premier League beaters! WOO. MY CUP OVERFLOWETH! WOOP. UTM!!
