Oooh, another Fentydome announcement! And this time it's cloaked in political intrigue. The Diary is tempted to note that Town's superb new official website announced yesterday that there would be an announcement this morning, and then got so excited about actually having something to announce that it spunked the news up at eight o'clock last night. I'm tempted to ask how GTFC are giving Castlemore Securities "exclusive rights to work on the detailed planning application" when I thought they already had planning permission; perhaps you have to submit a non-detailed planning application first, so the local authority can say yay or nay in principle, and then once they've said yay you have to do a detailed planning application, but right now I've exactly no idea at all. And I'm mightily tempted to praise the fabulous and inspirational architecture Town's new 'partner' has been responsible for elsewhere in the UK. But the Diary can't help noticing that the political party Castlemore has donated £100,000 to is the same political party Town's chairman John Fenty (Con) represented in last week's council elections. I'm sure it's just a coincidence though, eh.
