Diary - Tuesday 30 October 2012
30 October 2012
Middle-Aged Diary is unavailable today for his usual Tuesday spot. Your original/regular Diary is off to London to play a gig. And none of our other diarists have responded to a plea for help. Today's diary, then, will be little more than a token presence - a bit like Peter Sweeney in Town's midfield the other year.
In a nutshell inside another nutshell, then: the managers may bring in a short-term replacement for Scott Neilson, who is suspended for three games after kicking some bugger at the weekend. So expect Frankie Artus to join Alfreton on loan before the week is out. Shaun Pearson sits out one match after being booked for the fifth time this season. The reserves play what I think might be their second game of the season away at Wrexham this afternoon, kicking off in about 20 minutes' time. So much for rejoining the reserve league. And because our neighbours' laundry sometimes looks even dirtier than our own, Brian Laws has rejoined Plucky Scunny as manager. Aw, bless.
