Really excellent in both attack and defence. He played like he cared. Carry on like this and someone, somewhere, may even want to buy him from us. Weird: whoever would have thought that.
"You are always hopeful of a win, but we did not get the reward for our performance."
"It's a pretty good point because they're a pretty good side, despite their league position. They have an unbelievable squad."
Morecambe with muscle. Well drilled, well oiled, and well overdue promotion, they are on a par with Rochdale for competence. They did rely a lot on Sodje to plug Futcheresque holes, but they don't seem to have any weak points overall, and boy do they pass briskly and slickly. Admirable, and should go up this year.
Mr Purple is back, with imprecise pleadings. Some irrational grumpies seem to have returned to puncture the air of calm and wistful resignation that has cloaked the solid core. For 30 minutes there was even noise to accompany the raised hopes. The Sob-ometer is frozen at the moment.
Mr G Eltringham (Tyne & Wear)
Took great care to factor the slippy-slidey pitch into every decision, and then just pin the tail on the donkey of derision. He was indulgent of some strong barges by Bury, while being intolerant of even the flimsiest of tickles by Town. He was slightly less inclined to give Town the benefit of any doubt, but his linesmen were the biggest problem. So let's give him the benefit of the doubt on a very wobbly pitch: 5.965.
Some day soon Town will tonk someone.
