Circling over Norwich
7 August 2013
Apologies for the diary being so late today but your London Diary is in Edinburgh and, well, I forgot what day it is. Soz. But what day is it? I don't know, but what I do know is that it's THREE DAYS 'TIL KICK OFF! I can't wait. I can see those red socks pulled up to the hairy knees. The 4-1-2-1-2-1 formation lining up on that beautifully manicured grass. Alex Rodman's beautiful hair. I can smell the pies. I've got butterflies. Hold me.
Anyway, it looks like we might have Liam Hearn for another season as Mansfield have signed not only Ollie Palmer but also ex-Town loanee Calvin Andrew. Hopefully that means that they have enough strikers and don't need our Liam. I mean, who needs more than four strikers anyway, hey? What? We've got 23 strikers? Cool.
Yesterday, BBC Radio Humberside tweeted that apparently the club was on the verge of announcing a "significant boardroom shake-up". Since that tweet the internet has gone quiet and nobody seems to know what's going on. Do you? I think the word 'shake-up' might be over the top. A shake-up insinuates big change. Hopefully it's news that the Mariners Trust has its place on the board. I don't know. It might be that Ella Henderson has decided to inject millions into the club. As I said, I don't know. Keep those eyes peeled.
Lastly, a few of you on Twitter have noticed that Andi Thanoj isn't in the official team photo. A few reports have suggested that it was due to family reasons, so hope you're OK, Andi.
Three days to go! I haven't been this happy since my 13th birthday. You take care guys. I mean that.
