Cod Almighty | Diary
Pop a loo roll in the fridge
10 June 2015
Good afternoon everyone, hope you're all well. It'll be a relatively quick diary today as, well, there ain't that much to report on and your London Diary is still getting over a bout of food poisoning caused by a curry house in Cleethorpes' hallowed market place. As a result, I have to take something to the doctors in the next hour.
Speaking of shit samples, Jamal Fyfield has signed for Wrexham. I once remember commenting on Fyfield during a BBC Radio Humberside commentary that "he's the only man that seems to get slower when he tries to run faster". All the best at Wrexham, pal. Cracking beard.
The Operation Promotion totaliser is currently on £43,415 which is incredible. I love the fact that all of these Grimsby Town fans are pooling their collective talents to raise money for the club. The other day I bought the chance to have my name in card at the WWE wrestling. I hate wrestling, but this'll never happen again and it's a bit of fun. If you have something, be it a skill, or a possession, or whatever, that you reckon a Grimsby Town fan, or even a football fan would like, then get in touch with the trust. Such a fun way to raise money. I still think that £100 to have your face as the landing page of codalmighty.com is a great idea. Who wouldn't want to follow in the footsteps of Jonty Fenboy?
It was also nice to see our beloved team make the BBC website yesterday. Great news. Well done to all involved. Who would have thought Grimsby would be a team people would want to copy. Oi oi.
The rumour mill is still going cray cray with talk of Bogle coming to BP. I think we just all need to have a brew, stick your feet up and wait til actual news comes in. Take your mind off things by thinking about Dayle Southwell. That'll help.
Finally, this Mariners fever is really reaching everyone. My mum has lived in Grimsby and Cleethorpes for 55 years (since she was born, but didn't want to give her age away directly) and she goes to about 10 games a season. However, all this enthusiasm has got to her and she bought her very first season ticket yesterday. Progress!
Anyway, all this talk of fever means I have to pop to the docs with me pot. Sorry! Have a great day. Get donating, get donating, get fever! UTM!
