We have a decent team and a tremendous following. One day we’ll have a Boxing Day home game

Trentside Diary writes: Well that's looking good. Four of our players in the fourth tier Football League team of the week. Congratulations to John McAtee, Brendan Kiernan, Kieran Green and Niall Maher. I know you might think it means little in the scheme of things but it's nice for the players to be recognised and it's a sign we have a decent team on our hands.

I'm hoping it's the end of our slump. Last season we were amazing until the Wealdstone game in October. We didn't get our mojo back until the middle of January. Two and a half months. By twenty games in, we'd won ten, drawn three and lost seven compared with this year's won seven and drawn six. Three games drawn instead of won, and weve stepped up a league. That's not bad going.

We've got a tough few games coming up, Mansfield are having a good season and will fancy themselves. That said there probably aren't any easy games in this league. It's all very tight.

There seemed to be some frustration at buying tickets for Harrogate on Boxing Day with delays on them going live online and then people struggling to get in. Very annoying if you were hoping to go but as there were only 600 available, there were always going to be some people disappointed. I just hope the club can sort out the online purchasing soon so that people at least feel that it is fair. Like Miss Guest Diary I’ll be warm and comfortable, watching from home but many would rather be there, supporting the team. Forget FOMO, it will be Fear of Missing the Mariners Away or FOMMA.

It would be great to get a home game on Boxing Day for once. When did that last happen?
