A class act in a class forward line
Sad to hear of the death of Cliff Portwood. Fans of a certain vintage will recall him as a class act in a class forward line (Scott, Cullen, Portwood, Rafferty, Jones) in a side who exactly 50 years ago were starting a run which took them from mid table at Christmas to promotion to the Second division under Tim Ward. Let's hope history can repeat itself 50 years on!!

A massive cheer
We were convinced by the end of October that the Mariners end was nigh. Now -six wins and unbeaten in nine league games - let's give them a massive cheer. There's a long way to get back to where we belong but we could be on the way. Here's hoping

A candid perspective
Dear all at Codalmighty,
I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
I noticed that the away game vs Cambridge Utd is missing from the fixture list '11-'12.
That said, this is in no way a criticism of your great site which I enjoy reading immensely from the comfort of a warmish living room up here in frozen, snowy Finland! Not seeing too many games personally(!), along with what I get from my Dad I rely on your candid perspectives to give me an insight into what's really going on with town.
Best regards, UTM,
