Mardy Diary writes: I'm afraid it's a bit of a rubbish one today as there's not much to add. Town are doing well and long may it continue. The only change we're expecting is in central midfield as Niven sits out the match due to accumulating five yellows. Unsurprisingly the managers are keeping schtum about their options for Saturday, although the Telegraph is speculating that they'll be reluctant to break up such a successful defence to move Pond or Wood into midfield.
Frankie Artus has chirped up to say that he's available, and if the managers are reluctant to alter other areas of the team then really it's a toss-up between him and Thanoj. There's more of this blatantly obvious analysis in this week's match preview - although it's a tad more exciting than this diary. So take a look.
Newport have a similar problem with the in-form Lee Evans unavailable for the next few weeks, having pulled a hamstring against Telford in midweek. Hopefully he's been a vital cog in their current form and will allow Artus or Thanoj - should they play - a bit more room to play in the middle.
Newport have also decided to allow Town fans to pay on the gate as only 200 tickets have been sold for the away end. I say 'only', but that's bloody impressive for such a long trek - but with a capacity nearer 600 I don't think there's risk of it selling out. Still, you'd expect a few more to pay on the gate, which means a following of about 250 or more on the day I reckon. Not bad at all.
That's all folks. Have a good weekend.
