Mardy Diary writes: Well, here it is then – the new site. We hope you like it, but if you don't... well, you're just going to have to get used to it, really. What you all can't see of course are the huge changes that have been made behind the scenes which should make it easier for us to keep things up to date. If we can overcome our inherent laziness.
So really, this redesign is for us, not you. So screw you guys.
For those with a hankering for the old retro design, it's still here just archived away. It won't be updated though, but you can stare longingly at it and weep if that makes you feel better.
But enough about us, what about The Town, eh? Well, in a second day of exciting signing action, the club have strengthened the defence a bit more by bringing in lanky lankster Clayton McDonald. He's bloody 6' 6", y'know. Big, like. Very big.
His Telegraph interview highlights that again, as with other signings, he's a player that Shouty & Shorty have been chasing for some time. It seems as if they were after him as soon as he was released, which makes all the panic about a lack of defensive signings seem a bit daft.
Clayton should be in the squad to play a Hull City XI tonight if you bother to go down. The club clearly aren't expecting many to turn up because they're only opening the main stand.
So potentially another couple of signings to come. One, you would assume, may possibly be Doig – unless he was seen as a back-up option if the McDonald signing didn't work out. But it's clear we need extra numbers in defence rather than elsewhere. And I guess the final signing will be a young goalkeeper – but there's perhaps less of a rush to get that sorted.
Have a good weekend.
