Mardy Diary writes: EXCLUSIVE - Town not likely to sign any players soon, so just hold yer horses. Unless it's a classic Hurstian double bluff and eight players are lined up at BP, signed contract in hand.
Unusually, though, Town have announced a number of pre-season friendlies already, including home games with Sunderland and Mansfield, and a trip to John McDermott's Harrogate Town (as they shall now always be known). There's also an away trip to Scarborough Athletic, who I assume the club has some sort of tie to these days as we've seen one or two youngsters go there on 'work experience' recently.
It is early for Town to release their pre-season fixtures, isn't it? Or are we further in to the close season than I thought? I wonder if we'll get an early release of season tickets for once, then...
To keep you busy in the meantime, Hurst has written a sort of end-of-term report card for the youth team graduates in today's Telewag. I almost expected grades at the end: B+, a good effort, but must work harder (on his physical game).
And finally, our own Pat Bell has written a great piece on Welsh Mariners – and these sort of articles by Pat are always a good read, so tuck in.
See you next week.
