Mardy Diary writes: Short and (not so) sweet today – as work beckons.

Town have finally managed to get a striker in on loan with the arrival of Barnsley's Rhys Oates. At 6'2" I'm sure he'll sort the wheat from the chaff. I said I'm sure he'll sort the... oh, it doesn't matter.

So, what do we know of him? Not a lot – the Telewag factfile tells us that he's tall and has scored a handful of goals. Possibly for Gainsborough or Stockport. Or both. Neither? So, you know, might be handy. Who can say? Not me, obviously.

In other more exciting news, Shaun Pearson is going to turn his hand to brewing and turn out a barrel of Mariners IPA 7.6% in the name or char... what? Coffee? Fucking coffee? Jesus.
