It's coming home
30 June 2021
Daubney Diary is taking the pause in #TransferTuesday activity as further evidence of improved fan engagement from GTFC. Mere days after revealing the onset of New Signing Fatigue, Town acted to relieve his condition by announcing zero new signings yesterday.
To prove that this was real reason and not that everyone at Blundell Park was down the pub all day "preparing" for the England game, there was one significant piece of news announced: Evan Khouri has joined Luis Adlard and Jaz Goundry in signing professional terms for the coming season. There's a nice little interview with Evan on the club site and good luck to all three as they embark on their careers.
Yesterday's diary got a right Suttoning. Jason Stockwood's marvellous article in the Guardian played the role of Matty Hanlan and made sure that, like Town's win at Middlesbrough in the cup in 1989, a notable piece in its own right got rather overlooked. If you missed either, now is your chance to make amends. I'm off to have a moan about the lack of new signings, they're really useful for filling diary space.
