As an American learning the game from far away - Texas - this ESPN description of the goal against Stockport left me baffled: Goal !!! Nathan Pond hits a pierna derecha shot

Is this good? Rare? An ESPN MBM crime?

I soon learnt that whatever this is trumps whatever that was and GTFC conspires to lose at the death.

I am certain that this is bad: 90' Goal !!! Danny Whitehead hits a pierna izquierda shot to the upper left corner from the left channel and scores for Stockport County

Letters Ed responds: It might be because I'm currently reading Chris Hargreaves's autobiography, but my guess is they refer to the post-match cocktails the scorers will be bought by their team mates.

Hello,

I am looking for some help. I am currently researching and writing a new book about much-travelled football coaches. One of my 11 subjects is former Grimsby Town manager, Dave Booth (now based in Tanzania). I was hoping to e-mail a few short questions to a supporters representative (maybe somebody who remembers him well) and include the comments in the book.
