Feedback
19 October 2012
Cod Almighty has been running over with new articles the last few weeks, and your feedback has been short and sweet for us to read, but in case it feels we are patting ourselves on the back, we'll content ourselves with a digest.
Hegativity
We have already published some responses to part one of the interview with Nick Hegarty, but Rich Mills added: "A great interview with a great player". While saying he was glad to see Nick getting on, Richard Bedwell also regretted he is not still at Blundell Park: "a player we could always rely on to create chances as well as work hard for the team". Your letters editor was expecting a bumper bag in response to the second, more controversial part of the interview, but in fact we've had nothing so far. I did see a comment on Twitter along the lines that it confirms what we all know about the way the club is being run, so maybe it is not so controversial after all.

Coming home to Cleethorpes
Rich Mills was in touch again after Anne-Mette's account of her return to the place of her birth: "I really enjoyed reading this. Thanks for something so different, and touching too. Croft Baker, heh? Can we put a figure on the percentage of Town fans born there?" Elsa Will also wrote to commend Anne-Mette's "Great article", though partly with a view to plugging the website Cleethorpes People.

Kidderminster on video
The latest new article, Rich Lord's tale of a VHS tape, encouraged Brian Rose, the secretary of Stratford Town FC to get in touch with news of a player featured in the FA Cup highlights package: the former Kidderminster player Delwyn Humphreys is now manager of Ellesmere Rangers, who play in the Midland Football Alliance, level five of the non-League pyramid.
The Diary, of course, will almost always be with us despite, on 2 October, being forced to contemplate John Fenty's "lucky" underwear. Richard Bull took up the tale: "He tells us his role at the club is pretty much unchanged... a little like his underpants. I'm assuming this means it's taken him 10 years to buy a new pair." Richard goes on to recall the comedian Tony Hawks's exploits playing the entire Moldovan football team at tennis, suggesting that Andi Thanoj could make a film about playing the Scots football team at football.
